Welcome to Tsum Welfare Committee
Tsum Welfare Committee, based in Kathmandu, is a not-for-profit organization established by the local people from Tsum Valey. Tsum Valley is probably the most beautiful valleys lying in the laps of the majestic Ganesh and Sringi Himal. The nearest motor head is five days walk at Arughat, Gorkha.
This valley has population about 4000 and some 300 Tsumba people living in Kathmandu while other 200 lives abroad. The need for this organization was felt in last 1990s while they felt social re-unification. For example, not only for the get together, picnic but also for other social activities like while one gets so helpless during the sickness and death.
Then, many young social activists came under and kept continue giving the shape of this organization.
Right now, we are not only limited within the Kathmandu valley, the team has a long-term mission and vision to help develop one of the most remote and isolated Tsum Valley where underprivileged indigenous ethnic group known as “Tsumba” inhabits.
We are acting as a triangular bridge Architecture to connect Tsum Valley, the government and international community.
